Moksal Gui - Pork Meat (Boston Butt) cooked by charcoal Grill

Once again pork meat food...

In the picture, you'll see pork meat...  boston butt..  in Korean 목살(Moksal)...

This is the restaurant that I found last week, It's quite good for enjoying drinking Soju with pork meat....  the price is good comparing to the price...

The characteristic of this restaurant is that it make me feel some country-style charcoal grill with it's own  oak charcoal stove...

You'll see some oak timber over there...

It's not a large or small restaurant but it's full of guest...

The price is good, too....  it it KRW 10,000 for boston butt  per one person..

It's located  about 100m away from Exit 6 of Yeonsinnae station ..

Samgyeobsal is always good! - Sinssi Hwaro

We like to have samgyeobsal with Soju in the evening.

Samgyeobsal is cooked in front of us on the fan...  but it tastes better on the grill
like this!!!

It use charcoal, it's located under the grill

In this restaurant, we cook samgyeobsal by ourselves. It depends on me, whether it's delicious or not  ^^...

It is served with some vegetable..  to wrap meat with vegetable and eat it...  that is the way we have meat ...

Doenjang stew(or bean paste stew) is served with steamed egg, they are free to th customer who order meat..

























It is good taste who enjoy meat food, I recommend it ^^

The restaurant is located in Jongno- 2ga, named Sinssi Hwaro (means 'SIn's grill').

Dakbal (Chicken foot) - disgusting ? delicious?

Some Korean foods look disgusting , but they are found to be delicious  like this one...

Chicken foot, haha...

People ask
"Are there anything to eat on this tiny foot?"

But how about this ?

Yes, indeed....   You can get full if you have all of it....
And, if het trimmed it looks quite good to eat and even you can't notice what it is...
Trimming means removing bones and cut nails to make it to eat with ease....

And chicken foot(or feet?) usually are served spicy and hot.

Young women like this food because of its hot taste, and insist it's good for your skin
(collagen ?)

But who cares if it's good taste.....

Actually I didn't like this food until I found this restaurant.
This restaurant is so small that it's not easy to find it but Dakbal(chicken foot) is really good..  maybe the best among  I ever tasted...

The price is not cheap .
Dakbal(chicken foot)  costs KRW 9,000 per person
(First Order should be more than 2 persons)

But you will enjoy real spicy and hot unique food and Soju in this restaurant and relax your stress.
(Very hot foods make you  relaxed...  it's true!!!   Try it!!!)

Walking under the Euljiro .. Elujiro underground pedestrian arcade

It's cold outside (-10 degree !!)  but I still  like to walk !!

Today's place is for this needs !. Elujiro underground pedestrian arcade!!

Some people know this place already but not many people know here.

This is the pedestrian arcade under downtown area of subway line 2.
It's located from Dongdaemun Historic & Culture Park(Subway Line 2) to City Hall (Subway line 2), that means it is almost 3 km...
(Red color line)

Let's start  Dongdaemun Historic & Culture Park(Subway Line 2)

At the first part of this arcade, there is Lotte Fit'in Fashion Mall (near the station's exit no.12)

And you can go the way to City Hall llike this ... 

The arcade is connected to Cityhall ....

In the middle of the way you'll some jungle scene and it's good place to find toilet ^^

Looks like jungle? haha




















Now you reach to the Euljiro 1-ga Station, you may go to Myeong Dong or Lotte Department Store via this Station.

It is very helpful to walk in the cold or hot weather ^^

You may take a rest in this arcade, and you may find some homeless people who stay there.

But don't be frightened,  they also need a shelter for the harsh weather......

Beginning - Seoul's interesting places and foods

I like to go around anywhere..  whether by foot or car.
So, I like to travel ...   it doesn't matter whether the destination is domestic or abroad.
When I go abroad, I like to visit traditional market, street and see ordinary people around there....
Nowadays I am not able to go abroad for some reason...
But I don't like to spend weekend in home, so I try to go anywhere which interests me..
Fortunately the city where I live now, or Seoul, is a one of the largest city in the world and has some attractive places both modern and traditional ways.
And in some attractive places include traditional markets and streets.
So I spent last several months to go to those attractive places. it was really fun and I enjoyed very much.
At the moment, I think of foreign tourists who are interested those places.
Every I went abroad, I tried  to visit traditional markets and streets but it not easy to get information.....
So I decide to make my blog to show any information about Korean interesting places and foods for foreigners.
Although my English is not so good to express my whole ideas and thoughts, I try to make it in English, so understand my Korean style English..  haha

And another blog( auspensrefence.blogspot.com) that I make is to give some explanation for Korean food or custom which are not familiar with foreigners.
